14. 14yr old patient with history of depression, well managed seeing therapist coming in for multilevel scoliosis surgery. Parent wants to discuss the possibility of his son getting addicted to pain medications/ narcotics post-surgery as he has heard that he will be sent home with prescriptions for 10 days. He has an uncle who got addicted to heroin after failed back surgery. What options would you offer? *This question is required.
